Sarah Rice
Women's Ministry Director & Communications Lead
I am so thankful for the roles God has called me to fulfill and the work he has prepared for me to do in this life. I’m a pastor’s wife, a mom of four boys, and the director of women’s ministry at Capshaw. I am trained in biblical counseling, but my greatest joys are teaching the Bible expositionally, training other women to study and teach the Bible, and writing about how the gospel changes everything. This is what I do, but it’s not who I am. What is my fundamental identity? I am in Christ—a sinner chosen by the Father, redeemed by the Son, and sealed by the Spirit. I’ve been adopted into the family of God, am being transformed into the likeness of Jesus, and am held secure forever by the Spirit. Because of these glorious realities, all of my life is in and for Christ.
Whether it’s journaling prayers, penning articles, or authoring books, I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. I’ve found it a necessary practice to help me work out what I’m learning. Writing also gives me the opportunity to share truth and hope with women I may never encounter personally. But my words alone have no power to change lives. In all my work, I seek to lead others to the Word that will stand forever (Isaiah 40:8) and the good news that is God’s power to save (Romans 1:16).
Thanks for following along! I pray you are encouraged to look to Jesus.
