Welcome To Capshaw Kids
At Capshaw Baptist Church, we love kids! Each week we meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights to have fun while we are learning about God, through gospel centered teaching. We believe that scripture is clear that parents are the primary disciple makers in the lives of their children, and we are honored to come alongside and assist with the discipleship process. We realize that most people make a decision to follow Jesus during their elementary years. That’s why we believe one of the most important things we can do is help elementary kids see Jesus in every story of the Bible and learn to trust Him in every area of their lives. Our goal is to show children how each story in the Bible leads to Jesus. Nothing is more important than cultivating your children’s relationship with Him.

Sunday Morning’s in the Capshaw Kids’ Building
9:00 (SMALL GROUP) & 10:45 (WORSHIP)
Our Preschool Department is created especially for your infant (six weeks) through Pre-Kindergarten aged children. We can’t wait to meet them! We know things are busy at this stage of life and your children are learning and growing in amazing ways. It is our desire to partner with you as we lay the foundation of learning who Jesus is through small groups, preschool choir, and family activities.
WHAT TO EXPECT
On your first visit, we ask for the following personal information: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child. This information is entered into our Subsplash Check-In database to help maintain our secure check-in system and our parent page system. Click on the link below to save time by pre-registering.
SAFETY
All Ministry Volunteers pass a background check, as well as our own security team to ensure your child’s safety. We use a security tag system for Preschool check-in and pick-up, and personal text messaging for parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the worship experience.
If you have any questions or concerns before your campus visit, please contact roberta.fox@capshaw.org.

Wednesday Evenings
6:30 – Kindergarten through 3rd Grade (Family Life Center)
We know kids are tired and wiggly on Wednesday nights after being in school all day. That is why we have designed our Wednesday nights packed full of fun and activities, all while learning Biblical truth. Children start out in their age graded small groups for an opening activity. Then, all children come to the large group room for worship, games and a lesson that often times includes skits and usually has a video to reinforce the Bible lesson. The kids are then dismissed back to their small group rooms to enjoy a game that is designed to reinforce what they just learned in large group.
6:30 – MERGE (4TH-6TH GRADE)
Wednesday nights in the Family Life Center – MERGE is part of Capshaw Kids ministry. It is our preteen ministry and offers specialized programming just for them! Students are challenged to grow in their faith and their personal relationship with Jesus, as they learn how the Bible is relevant to their daily lives. Our MERGE kids are also challenged to connect through serving our church and community.
