How to Join

If you would like to join Capshaw Baptist Church, please come forward at the end of the service. Our pastors will be glad to pray with you and discuss your decision.

The Capshaw family receives members in the following ways:

By receiving Christ as your Savior and Lord. After you make this commitment the pastor will counsel with you about your decision and schedule your believer's baptism.*
By Transferring your membership. If you have previously been a member of a Baptist Church and want to join Capshaw, let us know of your desire. We will contact your former church and request that your membership be transferred.
By Believer's Baptism*. Any person who has trusted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, no matter what church affiliation they may have previously had, may join Capshaw Baptist Church by undergoing believer's baptism. The pastor will counsel with you about your decision and schedule your baptism at your convenience.
By Statement. Any person who has trusted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and undergone believer's baptism* may join Capshaw Baptist Church by statement. We will gladly accept your word that you have trusted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and have obeyed him through believer's baptism.

*We define "Believer's Baptism" to be baptism by immersion, after salvation, for the purpose of publicly affirming one's faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
